Recognizing the Warning Signs of a Heart Attack: Symptoms, Risks, and Recovery Insights

The most common myocardial infarction symptom in women and men is chest pain or discomfort. But women often have other symptoms, especially difficulty breathing, nausea accompanied by vomiting, and pain in the chest and back. To help women know and remember the symptoms of a female heart attack, you can use the acronym: HEPPP, which stands for Hot, Exhausted, Pain, Pale, Puke. Here are the usual signs of a heart attack:

General Signs of a Heart Attack:

  • Pain in the chest, arms, or womb, in the back of the sternum, or between the shoulder blades, which can last several minutes or disappear and reappear;
  • Feeling of loss of consciousness;
  • General weakness, the patient is pale and weak;
  • Rapid pulse, low blood pressure;
  • Shortness of breath;
  • Cold sweat;
  • Vomiting.

What to do in case of a heart attack

Half of heart attack deaths occur within the first 3-4 hours after symptoms start. Recognize and treat these symptoms as a medical emergency. Treatment should begin as soon as possible, so the patient has a greater chance of surviving. Chewing aspirin tablets after calling an ambulance may reduce the size of the thrombus blocking the coronary artery. A beta-blocker will slow the heart rate, so the heart does not work so hard and reduce myocardial necrosis. After a heart attack, oxygen can improve the heart’s performance and reduce the infarction area. Therapy includes antiplatelet agents and anticoagulants to dissolve the thrombus. If patients do not respond to drug therapy the chosen for angioplasty or surgical coronary artery bypass, especially in people who have suffered a severe heart attack.

Myocardial infarction is associated with a mortality of 30%, over half of the deaths occurring pre-hospital. The prognosis depends on therapeutic intervention, size of the infarcted area, and therapeutic post-stroke control.

An Activated Stabilized Liquid Oxygen supplement, like OxygenSuperCharger™, can increase the amount of oxygen in the red blood cells and feed the body’s muscles, such as the heart muscle, when additional oxygen when needed.
